Argento per Veronica Foresti (Kumite-60 kg-Valcalepio Credaro) e medaglia di bronzo per Marivin Chiari (Kumite-+60 kg-Karate Genocchio), Saverio Pesola (Kumite-80 kg-Simmi Bari) e Alfredo Tocco (Kata-Acc.Karate S.Maria a Vico). Sabato si assegnano i titoli individuali per la classe cadetti e, domenica, la conclusione con le gare a squadre.

EUROKARATE – In Trieste the Italians have won seven medals and been  three times European champions with Bottaro, Serino and Busà

Trieste, 15th February 2008 (8 p.m.). The first day of the 35th European Cadet and Junior Karate Championships held at the PalaTrieste building has finished with Italy as winner of three golden, one silver and three bronze medals. The new European  champions representing Italy are Viviana Bottaro (Kata-Colle degli Ometti), Salvatore Serino (Kumite-65 kg-Universal Center Napoli) and Luigi Busà (Kumite-75 kg-GS Forestale), who confirmed the last year’s title being one of the best karateka in the world.

Veronica Foresti (Kumite-60 kg-Valcalepio Credaro) was awarded the silver medal, while Marivin Chiari (Kumite-+60 kg-Karate Genocchio), Saverio Pesola (Kumite-80 kg-Simmi Bari) and Alfredo Tocco (Kata-Acc.Karate S.Maria a Vico) won the bronze one. Tomorrow is the turn of the individual titles for the cadet category, while on Sunday the championship will end with the team competitions.
